Manufacturing Aids for Any Task

Our on-demand manufacturing is perfect for producing the one-off, highly specialized tools that support your production lines.

Assembly Jigs & Fixtures

Create custom fixtures that securely hold your product during manual or automated assembly, ensuring that every component is installed in the correct location and orientation.

Inspection & QC Fixtures

Build custom nests and fixtures to hold your parts for quality control checks, whether for manual inspection, CMM measurement, or automated vision systems.

Drill Guides & Templates

Machine highly accurate drill jigs or templates that allow for precise, repeatable hole placement in manual operations.

Go/No-Go Gauges

We can machine gauges with very high precision to provide a quick, simple, and reliable way to check if a feature on your production parts is within its specified tolerance.

Welding Fixtures

Create robust fixtures from steel or aluminum that securely hold individual metal parts in place for accurate robotic or manual welding.

End-of-Arm Tooling (EOAT)

Rapidly prototype and produce custom robotic grippers, nests, and other end-effectors that are perfectly tailored to your product and automation task.

The Right Process for Your Tooling

  • CNC Machining: The best choice for fixtures requiring high precision, stability, and durability. We machine Aluminum for lightweight, robust fixtures, and plastics like POM (Delrin) or HDPE for non-marring applications where you must not scratch your product.
  • 3D Printing (SLS/MJF): The fastest and most cost-effective method for creating complex and ergonomic jigs. The design freedom of 3D printing allows for form-fitting nests that perfectly match your part's geometry. Tough Nylon material is durable enough for many shop-floor applications.

Custom Tooling FAQ

What is the best material for a fixture that won't scratch my cosmetic parts?

For nests and fixtures that hold Class-A cosmetic parts, a soft or low-friction plastic is ideal. POM (Delrin) is an excellent choice as it is rigid but has a very low coefficient of friction. For very delicate parts, we can even design fixtures with 3D printed TPU contact points or bond a soft material onto the fixture.

Can you help me design my fixture?

While you are the expert on your specific process, our engineers can provide DFM feedback on your fixture design to ensure it is robust, cost-effective, and optimized for our manufacturing processes. We can advise on material selection and suggest design changes to improve performance.
